Sleeping Freshman Never Lie David Lubar

New high school freshman Scott Hudson takes us through the ups and downs of his 1st year of high school. The unexpected is thrown his way: a new baby brother, friends moving away, his old kindergarten friend turns gorgeous, suicide attempt by the "weird" kid, etc... and the expected from any book about a high school freshman: getting hassled by upperclassman, money stolen by upperclassman, beat up by upperclassman, etc...
Overall I would give this book a rating of 6/10. Why?
I felt this book lacked a strong plot and seemed a little predictable. We all know that any book about a high school freshman will have everything that could go wrong... go wrong. But on the up side... This book certainly was witty and humorous. Who wouldn't laugh at a kid who runs for office because his crush is running for president only to find out he gets a spot on the council but his crush losses. And then after he quits, the president quits, and so his crush is president! Ahhhh... very entertaining...
Bottom-line? It's a quick, easy read suitable for middle school - college students.
